Jean-Louis Azencott is a painter born in Oujda in Morocco. His work belongs to the movement of free figuration and is mainly influenced by the painters of the Paris School, particularly Chagall, as well as by Fauvism and German Expressionism for their bright colors. He lives and works in Loiret in France.

Painting from childhood
Born into a creative family, Jean-Louis Azencott began to take an interest in painting at an early age, and when he was just 16, he made copies of pastel master paintings. This taste for painting comes from his mother and grandmother who practiced painting as a hobby. Not believing in the possibility of living from his art, he follows a lambda course but never stops painting. He creates very colorful canvases that are part of the movement of free figuration, as well as paintings on mannequins of resin showcase and animals in fiberglass. It was not until 2010 that he decided to devote himself entirely to his art.
Tell stories
The works of Jean-Louis Azencott often tell stories, atmospheres, while preserving a style he wants far from any academicism. In the large format works of the artist, the bright colors blend in a harmony close to musical scores. More than staging his characters, Azencott puts them to music and assembles each touch of color in the manner of a conductor.
An accomplished artist
Since 2010, Jean-Louis Azencott's works have allowed him to participate in several solo and group exhibitions throughout France.
