French photographer Grégory Herpe, born in 1969 in Paris, places mankind and our modern society at the heart of his work. He has photographed numerous countries and exhibits his work worldwide.

A prestigious background
Herpe has an exceptional and impressive background. Today, he works as a photojournalist for the press agencies Polaris Images in New York and Sopa Images in Hong Kong. In addition, he has also worked as a journalist for different magazines in France and in England and collaborated with NRJ and Fun Radio in Paris, and RTL/TVI in Brussels. Herpe was also an actor. He learned how to act from Francis Huster at Cours Florent, and staged theatre performances around Europe. Moreover, he published numerous literary works in France and Canada. Now, he develops his artistry through photography, producing black and white photographs, which he exhibits worldwide.
Taking a closer look at mankind
Herpe’s work centres on mankind. From Europe to Asia to Africa, the artist takes a closer look at people from around the world as well as organisations in our cities, our societies, and our relationship with customs and traditions. When exploring these areas, we find endangered animals in Africa, IRA soldiers in Belfast and young Cambodian women escaping prostitution. Herpe has also immortalised distinguished figures of rock and cinema such as David Bowie and Gérard Depardieu. Regardless of the subject he chooses to photograph, Herpe endeavours to create a unique vision of the modern world whilst focussing on a perspective, a message and an emotion.
An international impact
As an internationally recognised artist, Herpe has exhibited his photographic work in the European Parliament in Strasbourg as well as numerous galleries in Europe, Boston and San Diego. He is an active artist and regularly collaborates with NGOs to promote their work.
